Bom, saiu no Blabbermouth.net há alguns dias de que o Stratovarius vai ter uma vocalista, ao invés de um vocalista. Não q o Timo Kotipelto tivesse voz muito máscula, mas enfim... Vai q o Stratovarius fica interessante.

Ah Doug vc foi mto cruel com o Kotipelto... Tá certo q eu percei q ele não vale o q come, mas enfim.

Como ´meu coração metal está dividido em 2: Metallica e Strato, vou atualizar vcs de umas coisinhas:

O Timo Tolkki disse lá no forum da banda que dia 19/01 vai sair uma nota dizendo quem vai substituir o Jorg e o Kotipelto.
O Jens (nosso querido tecladista tirador de sarro) garantiu q vão contratar um viado e não uma vocalista mulher ou she-male (que q é isso?). Mas tudo q o Jens fala, podemos descartar.

Outra, o Tolkki tá bem legal com os fãs, respondeu uma pá de perguntas e disse que foi ameaçado de morte e tudo e além disso falou q só vai ter mais 3 Cds do Strato pq ele pretende virar produtor no futuro.

Finland's STRATOVARIUS have announced the addition of a new singer and drummer to the group's ranks.

The following is the band's official statement on the matter:

"New vocalist for STRATOVARIUS is called 'Miss K' (photos).

"The vocal talents of this sultry Finnish lady vary from raunchy rock to classical operatic. Her voice range is over 3 octaves and she is capable of transforming STRATOVARIUS sound to something unique, something that has never been heard in Metal before.

"She is 30 years old and has a background in gymnastics, where she has twice become a Finnish Champion, and in acting.

"She has until now been singing in some local bands and has done over 200 gigs.

"Drummer for the next album will be Anders Johansson, the brother of [keyboardist] Jens Johansson.

"After selling over 1 500 000 copies of their previous records, STRATOVARIUS is now ready to take the next step in their career.

"The band will enter the studio, a secret place, in May to record 11th studio album, which has a working title 'PopKiller'.

"The album is due February 2005 followed up by massive World Tour.

"In legal news, Sanctuary Records is asking Timo Tolkki to pay back 1 Million Euros from the recording agreement advance. Tolkki refuses to pay it, and comments: 'They have sent me a notification and are asking me to pay that amount back. Their position is that the agreement was for the old line up. My legal staff doesn't interpret the agreement this way, and have advised me not to agree to this demand. It means that we might be going to court in Berlin, but I am confident I will win this case and that justice will prevail.'

Do Strato é só o Jens e o Tolkki... o Jari aparece mto raramente por lá... Ele curte mais a parte em finlandês. o Kotipelto, quando estava na banda, ficava mais na parte em finlandês tb e respondia as coisas do guestbook, (O Tolkki tb responde às vezes o guestbook, mas o Koti era mais frequente.). Agora no Sonata Arctica de vez em nunca os caras aparecem por lá... o Jani tem 12 posts (é pouco, mas fazer o q: o cara num curte internet. o Tony q é o dono da banda nem aparece por lá

O único disco do Stratovarius que eu acho realmente bom é o Visions, o resto é meio chato mesmo, só salva uma música ou outra.

Drummer Anders Johansson (HAMMERFALL) has officially left STRATOVARIUS less than a week after joining the group.

The following is STRATOVARIUS' leader Timo Tolkki's statement regarding the Anders' departure:

"[Anders] gave me a call and said that he doesn't want to join the band permanently and that he is happy to be in HAMMERFALL playing True Metal.

"Since I am looking for a permanent member, we agreed in good spirits to go separate ways.

"I am very disappointed that he didn't want to join STRATOVARIUS permanently, but at the same time I wish him and the HAMMERFALL guys well and best of luck with their career.

"OK, this is what happened regarding the STRATOVARIUS turmoil: After all the member changes in my brother Jens' band STRATOVARIUS, he and Timo Tolkki asked me to help out to play on their forthcoming album. I asked the guys in HAMMERFALL how they felt about it and they replied: 'Sure, why not help your bro out?' I told STRATO: 'OK, cool let's do it. I'll record for you, but you have to clearly state on your web page that I'm just going to be a session player (like I have been in other band so many times before).'

"So, everything was cool until [STRATOVARIUS leader] Timo [Tolkki] wrote in their forum that they had asked me to join the band permanently and that I probably would. This was just something that went on inside Timo's brain — I knew nothing. Don't get me wrong, I really respect and like Timo and his music a lot, but the guy needs professional help and treatment if he thinks that is the way things happened. I asked Jens why they wrote this, but he said he had no idea what was going on. I called Timo and told him that I unfortunately couldn't do the session since all the HAMMERFALL fans would think I would leave HAMMERFALL. Then he asked if I maybe could play in both bands. So to you fans of HAMMERFALL, don't worry, you'll see more of me on the next record and tour and also a big thanks for all the really nice response and warm words regarding my future in HAMMERFALL, which has never been in question."

In related news, HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak has posted the following message regarding the progress of the songwriting sessions for the band's new studio CD, tentatively due in early 2005:

"We will continue working on a new album, which will be somewhat delayed due to the unfortunate accident I had in August. Things are moving along quite nicely at the moment, but we have just begun writing material for the album, The plan is to record it sometime this year. I will let you know the developments as they happen. Stay tuned!"
