Thanks for joining us to celebrate 30 years of Metallica. The boys have a lot of very special things planned for this week of celebration and we're looking forward to seeing you all at the historic Fillmore in San Francisco. Please read this e-mail carefully - there's something for everyone here!
First the details: The Fillmore is located at the corner of Fillmore and Geary Streets in San Francisco. ALL tickets must be picked up at Will Call with a photo I.D. on the night of the show and you must immediately enter the building - that means that your plus one must be with you. If you purchased a four pack, you must go to Will Call each night individually. Doors open at 6:30 PM, the show starts at 8:00 PM.
No professional cameras, cameras with a detachable lens or video cameras will be allowed and of course no recording devices. The Fillmore is an all ages venue, but their policy states "no babes in arms." If you have questions regarding A.D.A. seating, please e-mail
tickets@metclub.com.
Now the fun stuff: We want you, the Clubbers, to be involved in the show... this is one big party! Some of you will be receiving an invitation to participate in the envelope with your tickets... to give you a hint, you may want to brush up on your Metallica trivia and riffs! You should have already received an e-mail asking you to submit your stories of how Metallica influenced your life by being the catalyst for you to meet your significant other or perhaps name your pet after a member. We're also looking for your YouTube videos to show us your skills playing and/or singing Metallica songs... a few lucky Clubbers will be invited to join the band on stage!
We've also entered all ticket buyers into a special lottery to win a chance to visit HQ the week of December 5 for a tour and BBQ... keep watching your e-mail to see if you are one of the lucky winners.
While you are at the shows, make a point to check out the merch booth for exclusive Fillmore merchandise.
Finally, be sure to stop by and purchase a raffle ticket for the Bill Graham Memorial Foundation auction. We will be raffling off some rare Metallica items, so don't miss out! A mission of The Bill Graham Memorial Foundation is to give grants primarily in the areas of music, the arts and education, while also supporting social work, environmental protection, and spiritual and compassionate projects in our community -- A great cause in memory of a great man!
